Starting This Thing

Well, I'm going to start this as an ongoing log of my work experiences, class experiences, etc, in relation to my life long goal of becoming a leading game developer.

This will be a place for my thoughts, my struggles with professional and educational issues, and anything else that comes up in the way.

Anyhow, where to start...

I'm a 5th year software engineering student at the Rochester Institute of Technology. I came here seeking a better way to reach my ultimate goal, hoping RIT would provide for me the means to make it to where I wanted to go. Thus far, I've had enjoyable classes. I am one class away from a minor in Mathematics and a little more than a year away from a B.S. in my degree.

I've worked for two outstanding places through the internship program here. One in the defense industry for Goodrich SRS, working on testing and interacting with embedded systems. The other, my current one, working on a game project for the Autism Collaborative, which is hosted out of Cornell University. It has been very enjoyable thus far, as I've gotten to work in game development and help manage the project by keeping track of tasks and coordinating tasks. The team has been great as well, in that they really haven't needed much coordination. Everyone keeps on task well and works together effectively.

Otherwise, I'm an artist, a writer, a programmer, a designer, etc. I have a broad range of technical and artistic skills, as well as communication and developmental skills. Outside of that, I have strong relationships with friends, family, and my significant other, which has kept me strong and resilient throughout my work and educational endeavors.

This sums for my first post. Till next time.
